Hair

Zoe’s showing curiosity over a lot of things. He is inquisitive like most of the preschoolers. Tonight, as he is being put to sleep by his dada [which is a formed of their quality time] Zoe noticed his Dada’s axillary hair.

Zoe: Why do you have hair in your armpit? Did you transfer it from your head?
Dada: No? It’s just like that.
Zoe: (serious) No, I think you put it there.

Another Funny Moment With Zoe

My husband grewDSC_0682 up in a home wherein the first language used is English. Having kids of his own, he adheres to that practice. Our kids are taught to communicate using the English language. All of my kids’ cousins in the paternal side speak English, so we foresee no problems.

One Potty Evening

Zoe’s already potty-trained. One night while he was trying to poop, he spoke to his Dada. Here’s their dialogue.
Zoe: Dada, I want to eat cookies.001659_Potty-Training
Dada: What!? You’re defecating and yet all you have in your head is a cookie.

Zoe's Vocabulary 101

Zoe learns to syllabicate early. He mumbles and get the sound right. Like for instance, he would say "mulk" for milk, "Emo" for Elmo of Sesame street. He also says "hod" for "hold" or "tam" for "come". His first sentence was "Ahwantwan" which means "I want one". This was when he was just a year and 4 months. Last Feb. 10, 2009, his first clear sentence was "Mama, I fart" (ewe, oh!?) That was cute and so hilarious.

He first two imitated phrases was "Deal or No Deal" and "Hep Hep Hurray". And went like this "diw or no diw" {all short /i/} and "hep hep ohray".

Then, three days ago, he finally said "I want milk". And my eyes went wide. In disbelief and of course in excitement. Zoe still mumbles things. Like his "bonk" would mean he got hit. He goes and say "Mama, I bonk" and that would mean "Mama I got hit".
